Angel Reese and Fan (Photos via USA Today and Instagram)
Angel Reese is one of the most popular female basketball players in the entire country.
WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever alone deserves credit for the recent surge in the popularity of women’s basketball, but Reese is right behind her.
As the WNBA surged in popularity during the 2024 season, Angel Reese staked her claim to helping the game grow.
Unfortunately, with her being seen everywhere, it means there will be people trying to use her likeness for personal gain.
That brings us to one possible victim who believes that he is talking to the Chicago Sky star.
One video shows an African-American man telling his family that he has Reese’s personal phone number.

A Boston Celtics Festivus for the rest of us to get some gripes off of our chests
The Boston Celtics are seemingly stuck at around .500 midway through yet another season that was supposed to be the campaign that saw them finally ascend to contender status while a large part of the roster (and for that matter, the NBA) is in the league’s health and safety protocol after testing positive for COVID-19 despite the majority of the team being vaccinated. Between all this, the political zoo appearing on our televisions and cell phones on a daily basis, and a host of other disappointing to downright frightening things going on in the world at the moment, there is no limit to the things fans of the Celtics could — and should — be complaining about. To that end, on this week’s episode of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, hosts Justin Quinn, Alex Goldberg, and Cameron Tabatabaie host a Festivus-inspired airing of the grievances for all things Boston Celtics, NBA, and beyond. We try to keep it mostly light in a bit of a dark patch in the NBA schedule with all the COVID-related news currently gripping the league (and put most of the pandemic related talk further towards the end), and touch on the team’s recent play and signing of former No. 10 pick Joe Johnson to keep things balanced. So, be sure to check out the clip embedded above to hear all there is to gripe about in the Celtics media sphere on up with your three favorite NBA curmudgeons. The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast walked us through the looming second round series with Cleveland on their most recent episode. Assessing Boston’s start to ’23-24 season, NBA 2k official season sim with Ronnie 2k, Yossi Gozlan
The Boston Celtics just beat the New York Knicks to kick off their 2023-24 campaign for an auspicious start of their pursuit of an NBA-record 18th title, and if their campaign ends anything like the official season simulation by the folks over at NBA 2k, Celtics fans will finally get back on top to pass their rival Los Angeles Lakers as the team with the most championships won. What did we take from the first game of Boston’s season? What can the NBA 2k simulation underscore about what we saw on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden vs. the Knicks? Goodbye, Las Vegas, RIP TPE; Hello NBA doldrums
The 2022 NBA 2K23 Las Vegas Summer League has come and gone in the same way the Boston Celtics’ $17.1 million Evan Fournier Traded Player Exception (TPE) has, leaving the Celtics close to being done (we think, anyway) with their offseason team building plans and fans of the ball club with NBA-related content of current news. As the period of the league calendar unaffectionately known as the “doldrums” — named after the part of the Atlantic sailing ships used to avoid lest they be trapped in a literal sea of inactivity or movement — settles in, the hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast take a look at what might be left to do with Boston’s roster, what might have been with the TPE, and grill host Cameron Tabatabaie about what the Sin City NBA experience is like behind the scenes. Joined by your usual hosts Justin Quinn and Alex Goldberg, they also get you up to date on the trickle of news still coming in, and even throw some darts at what the NBA could do to spice up a midseason tournament Commissioner Adam Silver has been trying to spark interest in. As the NBA media cycle starts to wind down, join us on the Celtics Lab to wrap up the busy part of the offseason while we wait for training camp to kick off in late summer. Angel Reese Threatening To Sit Out
Angel Reese (Photo via Twitter)
Angel Reese is a bonafide star in the WNBA, both on and off the floor. The Chicago Sky forward was an All-Rookie player in 2024.
The WNBA has exploded over the last couple of years, none more than the 2024 season when Caitlin Clark arrived.
On her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese hinted at a potential strike if the players’ demands aren’t met in negotiations ahead of the next CBA.
Following the 2024 season, the WNBA players’ union opted out of its current CBA. The deal is set to expire in October.
“I gotta get in the meetings because I’m hearing, if y’all don’t give us what we want, we sitting out,” Reese said.
“That’s a possibility,” Dallas Wings guard DiJonai Carrington replied. “For real.”
