Caitlin Clark’s Message to Eagles DB Cooper DeJean After Super Bowl: A Sweet ‘Flirting’ Moment

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean revealed that he got a message from Indiana Fever star and fellow Iowa Hawkeyes alum Caitlin Clark after they won Super Bowl LIX.

Clark is a known fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, so watching the Eagles take down her favorite team and prevent them from winning a Super Bowl three-peat has to be disappointing for the WNBA star. Despite that, though, Clark still made sure to show some love to DeJean.

Appearing on “The Pivot” podcast, DeJean revealed the message Clark sent him following the showdown at the Superdome in New Orleans.

“I think us going to Iowa together, she [Caitlin Clark] was just saying that she was proud of me,” shared DeJean, who previously talked about how the Fever playmaker congratulated him for the win.

“I appreciate her for that, sending that message even though she’s a Chiefs fan.”

DeJean also shared that Clark admitted to him that she was, obviously, cheering for the Chiefs throughout the game. With that, the Eagles rising star noted that it was “cool to get that message from her.”

Cooper DeJean played for the Iowa Hawkeyes’ men’s football team from 2021 to 2023 before being selected 40th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Caitlin Clark, for her part, was with the Hawkeyes women’s basketball team from 2020 to 2024 before becoming the top overall pick of last season’s WNBA Draft.
