CNN black sheep Scott Jennings lost his cool during a heated debate with former Biden advisor Neera Tanden.
Jennings was condemning recent attacks against Tesla cars and dealerships because of owner Elon Musk‘s work for President Trump when Tanden accused him of hypocrisy, referencing the January 6 riots in the Capitol.
‘So when they do it to a Tesla dealership, it’s really bad. But when they do it to the halls of congress, we should pardon them. Is that your position?’ Tandon asked.
When a triggered Jennings replied by asking to ‘educate’ Tanden on his position regarding the Capitol riots, Tandon said: ‘You don’t need to patronize me.’
CNN anchor John Berman then intervened as the discussion heated up.
‘I’m just asking you a question. I’m sorry you’re getting emotional,’ Tanden said to Jennings.
‘I’m sorry you’re a condescending person who hasn’t been paying attention to what I do here. I didn’t support what happened on January 6… I don’t support the pardons,’ Jennings fired back.
Jennings went back to defending Musk, saying the attacks against him and Tesla are ‘outrageous.’

The unknown suspect set the three cars ablaze on Tuesday morning at a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas , Nevada
‘These people that were doing this need to be found, put in jail and made an example of.’
Tanden agreed that ‘anyone who commits violence against Tesla or Congress – or anyone else – should be put in jail.’
‘But that should not stifle dissent or opposition to Elon Musk,’ she added. ‘People are legitimately upset…’
The pundits’ clash came after a row of Teslas were set on fire in Las Vegas, in the latest attack against the electric vehicle company. In a similar fashion, the FBI in Kansas City said on Tuesday that they are investigating an incident that happened at a Tesla dealership in the city.
The latest attacks are part of a series of assaults on Tesla vehicles, dealerships and charging stations which has been happening across the nation.
Back in 2021, Tanden was chosen by then-President Joe Biden to head Office of Management and Budget.
But the Biden administration withdrew her nomination after she faced opposition from key Democratic and Republican senators for her controversial tweets.
She called Mitch McConnell, the Senate Minority Leader, ‘Voldemort’, and said that Senator Susan Collins of Maine should be ‘haunted’ for the rest of her days for her questioning of Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford.
She described Alabama senate candidate Roy Moore as ‘a child molester’, Ted Cruz as ‘a vampire’ and Tom Cotton ‘a fraud.’

Back in 2021, Tanden was chosen by president Joe Biden to head Office of Management and Budget but was forced to withdraw her nomination over her past tweets
‘Unfortunately, it now seems clear that there is no path forward to gain confirmation, and I do not want continued consideration of my nomination to be a distraction from your other priorities,’ Tanden wrote in a letter to Biden.
Tanden apologized during her confirmation hearing to ‘people on either the left or right who are hurt by what I’ve said.’
When that nomination collapsed in 2021, Biden nominated Tanden to serve as senior advisor and staff secretary – an influential post that put her at the heart of virtually all major issues inside the White House.
Tanden was eventually elevated to serve as Biden’s domestic policy advisor.
She previously served as an advisor to Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
