Karoline Leavitt has found herself bombarded with nasty comments from vicious trolls after she shared a series of snaps from her wedding day.
The White House press secretary took to social media to post a carousel of pictures of her celebrating her big day with husband Nicolas Riccio as well as her friends and family. The couple have faced controversy over their 32-year age gap with Karoline, 27, seemingly unbothered by the criticism of her love story with Nicolas, 59.
The duo looked ecstatic as they posed in the their wedding attire, walking hand-in-hand and beaming with Karoline dressed in a traditional white gown with long sleeves and intricate beading alongside her beau in his black tuxedo. They appeared blissfully happy laughing with their guests and even showed off their new neon light wall sign which spells out “The Riccios” as they kissed beneath it in the glamorous photos.
However, not everyone was impressed by the loved up display with many taking to the comments section on Instagram to slam her. One troll backhandedly wrote: “You and your dad look so sweet,” as another echoed the sentiment adding: “She married her own father?”
A third mean-spirited follower said: “Y would you only post pix of u and ur father, but not ur husband on your own wedding day? … creepy.” A fourth posted: “How stupid is she that she doesnt know how to use an apostrophe in big neon lights? Is this why she supports the shutting down of the Dept of Education? She wants everyone to be as uneducated as her?”

Sharing the snaps, Karoline admitted her wedding had been one of her favorite days as she captioned the post: “Finally found some time to post a few of my favorite pictures from one of my favorite days! Hair @s_mast89 @salonpure_nh Makeup @makeupbysarahalicea Flowers @favoritedaughterflorals Photos @img.escape.”
Karoline – who made history by becoming the youngest ever White House press secretary – recently opened up about how she found love with Nicolas. Talking about Nicolas – who works as a real estate developer – on The Megyn Kelly Show she gushed: “He is my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend and he’s my rock. He’s built a very successful business himself so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.”

Karoline then discussed how she and Nicolas met when she was running for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022. While she managed to win the Republican nomination, she lost the seat to Democrat Chris Pappas.
However, the campaign brought an array of benefits to both her personal and professional lives. She said: “A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband. I was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.”
Karoline did admit that the age gap worried her a little at first, but that soon faded into insignificance. She continued: “I mean it’s a very atypical love story but he’s incredible.
“He’s the father of my child and he’s the best dad I could ever ask for. And he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life… I say, ‘I walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since,’ but God bless him because he’s fully on board.”
