Could Trevor Lawrence be on the move?
The Pittsburgh Steelers are asking about a possible trade for the former first-overall pick.
According to Ryan Burr of the Big Ten Network, the team has inquired about a trade for the quarterback.
Ryan Burr of the Big 10 Network has tweeted: “Steelers have made inquiries to the [Jaguars] about a trade for QB Trevor Lawerence. This directly from the horses mouth in the Jags organization. WOW!”
This is easily one of the more random trade inquiries we have seen.
Burr reported that Pittsburgh was willing to offer this year’s first- and second-round picks but noted that with the 2025 NFL Draft being held in Pittsburgh, next year’s first-round pick is unlikely to be on the table.
While the Steelers and any other team can express interest in the dynamic quarterback, it doesn’t mean the Jaguars are willing to listen.
With both Fields and Wilson still in the mix, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that the Steelers aren’t fully satisfied with either option.
For now, it looks like they might have to look elsewhere if they want to find a franchise quarterback.
Jacksonville Jaguars Respond To Trevor Lawrence Trade Speculation
The Pittsburgh Steelers added two quarterbacks last offseason, but they need to address the position again.
Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are both free agents, and the team could move on from them.
Pittsburgh is expected to also consider outside options, and it appears that another AFC quarterback is on their mind.
According to Ryan Burr, the Steelers have registered interest in trading for Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence.
ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, who covers the Jaguars, would soon jump online, and while he did not deny that the Steelers reached out, he made it clear how Jacksonville reacted.
According to DiRocco, the Jaguars seemingly laughed Steelers General Manager Omar Khan off the phone, calling the idea ridiculous.
