Her owners claimed she had gone missing on Halloween 2020, but when she was found, her condition told a different story. Brighe hadn’t been surviving as a stray for long.

Instead, it appeared someone had deliberately starved her, knowing exactly what they were doing. Faced with the grim reality of her condition, her owners surrendered her to a rescue group, unable to provide the urgent care she needed.

Veterinarians knew that bringing Brighe back from the brink of death would take patience and precision. Refeeding her had to be done slowly to avoid overwhelming her fragile system and causing organ failure.

But Brighe wasn’t ready to give up. She fought through those early days, and before long, she was eating on her own.

Now, Brighe has a new sibling and loving parents who couldn’t be happier to welcome her. She plays with toys, enjoys her walks, and continues working on her leash skills.
