Jennifer Aniston condemns J.D. Vance’s ‘cat ladies’ comment, prays his daughter can have kids without needing IVF

“You are trying to take that away from her, too,” Aniston said in a rare political statement from the actress.

Hollywood icon Jennifer Aniston has made a rare political statement in the wake of a resurfaced clip of Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance’s resurfaced comments about “childless cat ladies” running America.

Following Donald Trump’s decision to partner with the Hillbilly Elegy subject as his running mate in the upcoming election, the Friends and Morning Show actress condemned the Ohio author-politician for his stance on limiting reproductive rights in the United States.

“I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States,” the 55-year-old star wrote Wednesday on her Instagram Story, in addition to sharing a 2021 clip of Vance’s controversial interview with conservative media personality Tucker Carlson.

Aniston then turned the conversation back on Vance, reminding him that he and wife Usha Vance have a daughter of their own.

“All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option,” Aniston wrote. “Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”

In the three-year-old interview with Carlson, Vance said “we’re effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made,” estimating that “they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.” He specifically named Vice President Kamala Harris, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pete Buttigieg — who’s married to husband Chasten Buttigieg — as examples

Vance’s comments have drawn widespread ire from Americans, including Whoopi Goldberg, who harshly criticized Vance from her post on The View on Wednesday morning.

“Sir, there are people who have chosen not to have children for whatever reason. There are people who want to have children who cannot. How dare you,” the 68-year-old said.

Goldberg continued: “You never had a baby; your wife had a baby. But, you never had a baby, so you know nothing about this. How dare you. Women? You heard how he thinks of you.”

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Vance and Trump for comment.
