95.7 The Game (DR) / Warriors / (DR)
The season is taking a sad turn for the Warriors, beaten by the Raptors this Monday night. The franchise has a negative record and Steve Kerr has been heavily criticized for his decisions. Changes are expected.
The goal is pretty clear for the Warriors this season: it’s all for the win or nothing. The franchise wants to play for the title for Stephen Curry’s last years in the league, but the talent is not there. If we put aside the Chief, we could still see him this Monday night during a defeat against the Raptors, 101-104.
So no, Draymond Green wasn’t there, but that shouldn’t stop Golden State from getting the better of a team with a record of 8 wins and 31 losses. Instead, Steve Kerr’s men cracked in the final, despite Curry’s 26 points. Their new record now? It’s 19 wins for 20 losses in the NBA .
Warriors’ crisis continues
It is not joy among the fans. It is clear that the arrival of Dennis Schroder is not enough to improve the chances of a title, so many are calling for a new movement. It must be said that even Steve Kerr is criticized for his management, with questionable systems and disappointing players like Buddy Hield.
On fire for the month of October, Hield quickly caught a huge cold. Like his 8 points on 3/13 shooting this Monday, the shot does not go in and yet, Kerr insists with him. Worse in the eyes of the fans? He totally assumes.
Steve Kerr on Buddy Hield : “I believe in him. I put him in on the last play because I believe in him and I believe he can make the next shot. I’m going to continue to play him. I’m going to continue to trust him.”
Kerr’s logic is understandable, as he doesn’t want Hield to lose confidence. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much the summary of the player’s career so far. A real shooting talent, but a consistency that’s far from perfect. The Dubs, for their part, are hoping to find the right formula, and Kerr in particular.
But among the fans, it is disappointment that reigns above all. For some, the franchise would do better to turn the page.
@nando17celtics : “We all tried to tell them his start to the season was wrong”
@Chozenboii : “This is why your fans want to fire you”
@LONDO87540615 : “That’s the whole problem. You believe in him a little too much.”
Steve Kerr’s choices are starting to make noise among fans, and it’s not good news. The coach is disappointing, as are some players. Golden State has no choice: they need a new trade to improve the dynamic.
