Angel Reese congratulated the LSU Tigers guard and former teammate Aneesah Morrow after passing a milestone in college basketball. After her game against Vanderbilt on Monday, Morrow became the eighth player in Division I history to have 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds.

Morrow replied to her senior’s comment: “@angelreese5 thank you barb.”

The 21-year-old’s accolades also earned her SEC’s Player of the Week. She garners an impressive performance this season, getting eight 20 points and 15 rebounds, and the match against the Commodores gained her ninth straight double-double and her 17th so far.

Morrow’s been averaging 18.6 points and 14.4 rebounds this season.

Despite the departure of Angel Reese, the LSU Tigers remain a formidable force as they remain undefeated, 19-0. Besides Morrow, the team also benefits from Flau’jae Johnson’s talent, who’s averaging 20.0 points.

Their standing garners them another chance at the national championship, which they achieved during Reese’s stint in 2023.

The Tigers will face the Florida Tigers on Sunday, January 20.
