Alaska Airlines flight attendant Nelle Diala has broken her silence after getting fired for twerking on the company’s jet.

Diala was terminated back in November after posting a video to TikTok showing her dancing on one of the seats of an empty plane. The attendant, who was celebrating the end of her probation, said this was her dream job.

She certainly seemed pleased with herself while twerking in the aisle, but her joy was shortlived. She was fired shortly after the video went viral, with Alaska Airlines cutting her loose for what they deemed a violation of their social media policy.

Nelle had posted the clip along with a caption reading, “What’s wrong with a little twerk before work?”

Apparently, everything.

She has finally spoken publicly about her firing, claiming she did not think it would be considered inappropriate.

While some social media users did not think Nelle did anything wrong, others felt she crossed the line.

“Tbh i don’t see what’s wrong with that. Just a dance,” one wrote.

“If you want to twerk, that’s what the club is for. Don’t record yourself twerking in a professional setting, while wearing your company’s uniform. That’s just common sense…” another pointed out.

“So getting publicly fired gets you notoriety and a possible career? Let me write that down,” a user commented.

Nelle felt like she should have been given another chance after her infraction because of how much pride she took in her job.

Sadly, that’s not how things work in the corporate world.
