Angel Reese hit a ridiculous ‘half-court’ shot recently.
However, fans online have been quick to point out the issues with the long-range bomb after footage of it circulated online.

Reese has been busy playing in the newly created 3-on-3 Unrivaled league.
The league is based in Miami and serves as a way for players to play competitive basketball during the WNBA offseason while also being compensated with average salaries of $222,222.
Reese plays for Rose Basketball and during practise for Tuesday’s clash against Vinyl BC, the 22-year-old made a shot from ‘half-court’ out of bounds, not unlike the kind of circus shots NBA great Steph Curry has become known for.
“Angel just drained this shot half-court, OUT OF BOUNDS with it too,” Rose posted on social media.
However, eagle-eyed fans were quick to kill the hype of the shot by signaling out issues with it.
The video shows several other balls going into the net at the same time, and some fans believe Reese’s ball was knocked away and did not actually go in.
“That was mine,” Reese said at the end of the clip.
Others pointed out that the Unrivaled courts are a 3×3 size, meaning that they are much smaller than normal sized courts, and so not technically a real half-court shot.
The Chicago Sky forward retweeted the video of her long-range shot and the comments quickly became flooded.
“That’s not half-court! Unrivaled floor is smaller. In actuality, that would be a logo shot which is CC’s [Caitlin Clark] normal range every day shot! It is good to see Angel working on the worst part of her game though, you know making a layup,” one fan wrote on X.

“That was mine,” Reese said at the end of the clip.
“That’s not half court (on a real court) and im 99% sure it didn’t even go in. I’ve always somewhat jokingly said I can’t tell if she’s right or left handed bc her form is so bad, but now im wondering if I was joking,” another fan posted.
“It didn’t go in though….you can see it bounce off another ball or the rim,” one fan added.
Reese’s team were quick to come to the aid of their player and replied to one of the fans in their comments.
“We know it’s a condensed court. She’s hit half court shots from full courts too. And it definitely went in, watch in slow mo… bank is open,” Rose posted on X.
It is true that Reese is no stranger to half-court shots.
The WNBA star once hit a long-rate shot in a shooting competition between her and Caitlin Clark at All-Star practice.

Reese and her teammates went wild after she drained it while Clark was not able to make the half-court shot in her attempts.
She then lost a $100k bet to Shaquille O’Neal after the Lakers legend made a free throw.
“$100,000 if you make this shot,” Reese said to Shaq in footage she uploaded to social media, as they stood inside a court.
A grinning Shaq then landed the free throw, prompting a loud scream from Reese.
“I guess I owe him 100K,” she wrote in text overlaying the video, along with a crying emoji.
