Karoline Leavitt Says Americans Deserve to Hear Biden’s Hidden Robert Hur Interview Amid Growing Controversy

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt openly suggested during Wednesday’s press briefing that the American public would be deeply intrigued to hear the concealed audio recording of President Joe Biden’s controversial interview with former Special Counsel Robert Hur.
“I don’t have an update on that but I can certainly check,” Leavitt remarked when asked by Daily Caller White House Correspondent Reagan Reese about the administration’s consideration of releasing the audio. Leavitt notably added, “I think the American people would be quite interested to hear that tape.”
This statement reignited debate surrounding Biden’s 2023 closed-door interview with Hur, who was appointed by Biden’s own Justice Department to investigate the then-president’s handling of classified documents. Despite Hur’s findings confirming that Biden had indeed retained sensitive national security documents, he declined to prosecute Biden, highlighting challenges associated with Biden’s age, memory lapses, and sympathetic demeanor as hurdles to potential criminal conviction.
