Sure enough, the Lakers gave the LA community something to cheer about as they got a much-needed victory against the Heat last night.
Adding icing on the cake, LeBron James made the night even more memorable with a wholesome gesture for a young fan.
Well, it was early in the game that the camera caught a young girl sitting courtside wearing a LeBron jersey.
And when King James walked right in front of her, she was left absolutely starstruck, got overwhelmed with emotions and began crying.
Although the Lakers star did not interact with her then because he was focused on the game, LeBron made sure to give her an unforgettable moment following the big win.
Yes, once they beat the Heat, he met the young fan and gifted her his game worn ‘I Promise’ wrist band. And he even clicked pictures with the little girl.
During his postgame interview, LeBron talked about the heartwarming interaction, “To have that type of connection with someone where they can have that type of reaction, and that’s what it’s all about… That was a super dope moment and I have a little girl myself back home.”
Obviously, LBJ is a proud dad to his ten-year-old daughter, and the young fan might have reminded him of Zhuri. But as great as that moment was, the four-time champion also had a direct order for the little girl to follow, “I think it would be something that hopefully she’ll never forget and I’m happy to be a part of her life now in that small little moment but such a bigger moment. Hopefully, she brags about it in school. I hope so.”
Yes, King James wants the young fan to boast about her interaction with arguably the greatest player ever because that gives her the upper hand over every classmate who might have said something bad about her in the past.
“They can’t say nothing about her now.” LBJ added, while everyone in the room got a good chuckle. Obviously, his wholesome gesture also left the fans buzzing.
As LeBron added another memorable moment to his legacy, the NBA World was left in awe of him once again and comments like “This is awesome to see! Good for him!” and “That’ good from LeBron” began flooding in.
As great as LBJ is on the court, he might be an even better personality off it. Despite being in the public eye since he was a teenager, he has never gotten into any major controversy and always stayed true to his fans. And his gesture toward the little girl only proves his humble nature.
