Savannah James Is “Hurting” As She Grapples With Fallout From LeBron’s 40th Birthday Bash 2734 Miles Away From Los Angeles

It was an eventful start to the new year for the James fam. LeBron James turned 40, Bronny is on the rise, Bryce is going to college, and for Savannah, things have been overwhelming. She had a hectic start to 2025, and it seems to be taking its toll three days in. After her husband’s milestone birthday, Savannah needed a vacation from all the partying. But her R&R update since then is anything but relaxing. Looks like the trope of needing a vacation to get over a vacation is true.
Savannah decided to wind down after Bron’s birthday by taking a trip with her best friend and Everybody’s Crazy podcast co-host, April McDaniel. They zipped off to the East Coast to relax in Miami. However, the unplugged life over 2,700 miles away from Los Angeles hasn’t been fully healing.
Sav shared her vacation update on her Instagram Stories with an emphatic sticker, “Hurting Bruh!” Lazing in a bed may not be helping because she says, “the fact that i’m still recovering from something that happened 3 days ago is crazy. I just want to be back to normal.”
3 days ago refers to the insane birthday party to celebrate LeBron’s birthday. Adele was there with her fiance and Bron’s agent, Rich Paul, along with more business partners. Anthony Davis jazzed it up. Draymond Green and his wife, Hazel, set aside rivalries to party with the Jameses. Bron even made cash rain on Savannah.
Right after Bron’s birthday and the New Year, their younger son Bryce announced his commitment to Arizona. That was another celebration. Bronny is quietly dominating in the G-League, which also made his parents proud. But everything at once in her family compelled Savannah to take a break.
Nothing’s more healing than a girl’s trip. And though Miami is not exactly a quiet town, Savannah and her bestie made sure it is.
McDaniels gave a glimpse of how their R&R time in Miami is going with a short Instagram clip. She and Savannah ignored the endless notifications on their phones in the backdrop of Miami’s stunning blue waters. “’I hope this email finds you well.’ The email not finding me. Because we are in Miami,” McDaniels added in the Reel to make it very clear they aren’t looking at their phones this vacation.
Instead, in this Reel they revived the lost art form of face-to-face conversation.
But enjoying time with her friend, the gorgeous beach, and a digital detox don’t seem to be cutting it for Savannah to be ‘hurting’ for more than 3 days.
Meanwhile, LeBron James & Co. are getting ready to host the Atlanta Hawks in LA. So neither halves of the James couple is relaxing.
