Donald Trump must be prompting cries of “what’s he on?” from anybody in Britain who backed his Presidential bid.

What the Hell’s happened to Donald Trump? He’s gone from hero to zero in a week.
In the weeks after the election millions around the world were looking at President Trump Mark 2 cheering his audacity, his courage, the sheer speed at which he was shaking up America. He tackled the immigration crisis head-on telling countries refusing to take back their illegals – “Take them or I’ll hit you with tariffs.” They took them back.
He banished the world of woke at a stroke, he declared that there are only two genders, he outlawed all diversity and equality schemes. He told those working from home: “Get back to the office or you’re sacked.”
And many of us were all looking at him with awe and excitement thinking “Oh, for that kind of leader here – a strong action man who spits on objections from the leftie elitist minnows, a man who puts his country and his people first.

Now, this week I’m looking at him thinking “What the Hell’s he on?”
I’m talking about how he’s turned on Ukraine and its leader, Volodymyr Zelensky, branding him a dictator, a thief and banning from the peace talks rendering him a mere bystander in the future of his nation, a nation he and Ukrainians have fought valiantly to save from the real dictator here, Vladimir Putin.

He’s also ludicrously accused Ukraine of starting the war when the world knows that’s a flat out lie and he’s demanding a $500billion stake in the country’s mineral reserves as a reward for the billions he says America has provided in military aid to Ukraine.
Worse, he appears to be sucking up to and cow-towing to Putin offering him everything he wants – 20% of the country he illegally invaded. All of which looks like the world’s worst betrayal of a beleaguered country and its lion-hearted people.
And yes, it IS sickening. And cruel because it looks like he’s spitting on the graves of the tens of thousands of Ukraine’s war dead and not only rewarding the brutal dictator who illegally invaded but paving the way for other dictators to do what Putin did.
But while all that IS happening, while the civilised world weeps for Ukraine and what it’s lost I’m asking myself is what Trump is doing part of a bigger picture?
Does the President – who let’s not forget was, in part, elected on his promise to stop the war – have a master plan to make the whole world a safer place?
Yes, Ukraine has been wronged but the fact is Europe, which has never been weaker, isn’t going to help them. And Putin is never going to accept European peacekeeping forces there which Europe can’t afford anyway.

And what Trump is saying to Ukrainians (albeit brutally) is: “Do a deal now because the terms won’t get better and no one is going to help in the future – especially not an ineffective Europe.”
People way cleverer than me think Trump is making Putin his new best friend because he knows China has to be contained and a way of doing that is to pull Russia away from its open arms and make being America’s best friend more attractive.
I really don’t know. I don’t know if there’s method in Trump’s madness or if he’s just stark, staring mad.
What I do know is that after this week I’m not as giddy about him as I was. Truth be told, I’m a bit scared. Because when you can’t tell if someone is a megalomaniac or a genius it’s a worry. And the fact they could be a bit of both – even more so!

Is anyone else as angry as I am that Wicked star, Cynthia Erivo, has been cast as Jesus in the Hollywood Bowl’s upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar?
I’m sorry but Jesus was a man – not a woman. And he sure as Hell wasn’t a bald, black woman who identifies as Queer and bisexual.
This is a woke hire that’s a direct and blasphemous attack on Christianity, the kind of attack that would never be directed at other religions – I’m thinking of one in particular.
And what’s the big deal about Erivo anyway? I’ve yet to meet anyone who liked Wicked. It’s had dire reviews, she was pretty average and it was two hours too long.

Barbara Broccoli who took over from Dad Cubby to produce the Bond movies has now “handed” over creative control of – or should that be sold for shed loads of money – the 007 franchise to Amazon.
Which is odd because in December last year, the Wall Street Journal reported Ms Broccoli had said of Amazon bosses: “These people are f***ing idiots.”

Mark Wright and his heavily pregnant wife, Michelle Keegan, were left cowering in a locked bedroom in their luxury home after masked raiders broke in.
And while I feel some sympathy for their ordeal, police think the couple could have been targeted thanks to their Instagram page, Wrightyhome, which details every last luxurious inch of their spectacular £3.5m Essex mansion complete with gym, footie pitch, bar, cinema, sauna and swimming pool.

Liam Payne, the One Direction Star who plunged to his death from a hotel balcony in Argentina had a “drug-fuelled threesome” with two prostitutes just hours before he died. According to forensic reports, he’d ordered the prostitutes at 11.30am, and when they arrived he was already taking a “crystal like” drug and demanded they get him more. Why is it everything the Duchess of Sussex touches turns to you know what? First, look at the bloke she married. Second, the life she dreamed about – where she’d become the undisputed star of the royals – ended in tears. She flounced off to what was then an adoring America which now sees her and her husband as a joke.

But even the launch of that was postponed thanks to the California wildfires. There was also her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which disappeared thanks to trademark issues. And now the re-booted version of that, As Ever, is also in trouble because another bloke in New York has been trading under that name since 2017.
Netflix must fast be coming to the conclusion that doing business with Megan comes with a curse.

During a chat in her podcast Trinny Woodhall, 61, told daughter Lyla, “If we were manifesting, in five years’ time I’d have a boyfriend, I’d own a home and you’d live next door to me in a flat.”
Well, Trinny’s beauty company is now worth £180million and generated £55million worth of revenue last year so she could buy herself a home and a flat for her daughter tomorrow.
But in five years she’ll be 66, as rich as God and I’m pretty sure by then she won’t feel the need for a man in her life.

Poor old Starmer can’t get anything right. He thought that giving 16-year-olds the vote in time for the next election would get him 1.5 million more votes and keep Labour in power.
However a new poll reveals that a third of all 16-year-olds would back Farage’s Reform and 51% said immigration was too high.
And by the time the election comes it’ll be a damn sight more!
