The View Fans Confused Over Joy Behar’s Extended Absence

Joy Behar is an OG of The View, having been gone for a few years and then welcomed back. As controversial as she can be, viewers seem to appreciate her hot takes and the things that she says. When she is not around for an extended period of time, fans do grow concerned and want to know when she will be back. There was a question if Whoopi Goldberg was exiting the morning talk show. She had taken a break, and it led to a lot of questions as Joy was the new moderator. Now, the tables are turned, and people are asking, “Where is Joy?”

She has been working on her play, My First Ex-Husband, which can be seen off-Broadway. Whoopi even joined Joy on the stage for an evening, which was a real treat for the audience. As of now, it seems this play is the reason why Joy has been MIA from The View. One red flag was that she did not appear on her scheduled day for the Behind the Table podcast. Rather, her co-host, Sara Haines, filled in for her and, although people like her, she is not Joy.

 

Despite her busy schedule, when she was not on the podcast, fans chimed in:

I thought Joy was on Wednesdays?
I thought it was Joy Behar on Wednesdays?!?

Joy Behar has been bouncing her days on the pod, which she knows bothers some people. As for her play, she is not a part of the actual off-Broadway cast. However, she has made appearances and is back for three nights only. A big issue with The View co-host’s play is how pricey it is, even for diehard fans.

Lower The Prices

Aside from getting The View tickets, which could mean any host is off for whatever reason, some fans want to see Joy Behar’s play. They know her as a comedian and understand how hard she has worked on it. Therefore, it would make sense that they would want a chance to see My First Ex-Husband. Unfortunately, there has been some ticket backlash:

I wish it was a little less expensive. but i understand the pricing. I’m sure it’s worth it. i have seen Joy’s previous acts and they were hilarious… and less expensive! 😊

Yet, others who had the chance to see it praised the show as amazing:

It is unclear how the success of this play will impact Joy’s future with The View. Yet, if it takes off, would she leave her post temporarily? Time will tell.
