Luka Doncic does not necessarily have the best reputation in the NBA, he who has often been singled out for his work ethic. He was also entitled to a completely gratuitous attack, during the Lakers’ big victory against Denver.
The Lakers’ hopes depend almost entirely on his integration, not only for 2024-25 but also for the years to come.
Having arrived a few weeks ago from the Mavericks, Luka Doncic will however need a little time to find his marks in California.
If only because before making his debut for his new franchise, he was coming off a month of absence due to injury.
On top of that, the Slovenian also had to find a way to coexist with LeBron James, who also needs to have the ball in his hands.
Fortunately, even if El Matador’s first outings with the Purple and Gold weren’t incredible, the King had quickly shown that he was ready to give him priority.
And as expected, it’s slowly but surely starting to pay off.
Luka Doncic attacked on his physique in the middle of a game
During the last game against the Nuggets, yet LA’s bête noire for years, it was largely thanks to number 77 that his team won by a wide margin (123-100). Author of 32 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and four steals, Doncic did everything to the Colorado men and totally disgusted them, as well as their fans.
One of them therefore tried to destabilize him psychologically during the game:
For weeks, Halleluke has been criticized for his weight and work ethic, partly also because of his former managers in Dallas who use this argument to justify his transfer.
That being said, he seems to be in pretty good physical shape since he landed in Los Angeles… and fans find this gratuitous attack all the more ironic when you remember who he was playing against:
@Yankees_Heat_: It’s crazy to say that when you’re a fan of Nikola Jokic
@upbilssed: Jokic isn’t obese?
@PlayoffLucro: Joker is their franchise player by the way
Luka Doncic gave the Nuggets a nightmare, so their fans found nothing better to do than to attack the Slovenian’s physique in order to destabilize him. Except that it didn’t work any more than Nikola Jokic and his teammates’ defense…
