The WNBA star gave the best game of her season in the 3-on-3 basketball league.

Angel Reese spoke about the price of success at 22 years old.
Angel Reese is one of the most successful players in the WNBA.
On a sporting and financial level, the Chicago Sky star accumulates one success after another wherever she goes; however, triumphs do not come alone, and even someone with Reese’s iron character had to recognize that her life is not easy.
While waiting for the start of the 2025 WNBA season, Reese signed up with the Rose BC of the Unrivaled league.
After a shaky start in the 3-on-3 basketball league, the star forward climbed the learning curve and, on Thursday night, she became the first player in the league to record a 20-20 game.
Reese led her team to a 72-63 victory over Napheesa Collier’s Lunar Owls by scoring 22 points and grabbing 21 rebounds, including eight offensive boards.
The performance earned her applause from her fans, but Reese reminded them that success is built day by day.
Angel gets emotional
After the victory over the Lunar Owls, Reese said that it is never easy to keep going.
“It’s so much I can say but I think for me, to keep going, is hard. Living my life isn’t easy, and I don’t want to get emotional, but that’s why I put the work every day.”
The “Chi-Barbie” acknowledged that a performance like Thursday’s is inspiring on many levels, but especially for her fans.
“There are little girls that look up to me, there are college girls that look up to me, and just being able to be an inspiration every day…so that’s why I try to keep going through all the negativity.”
Reese is the youngest player on Unrivaled, and reaching the level she has at such a young age comes at a price. “At 22, it’s hard living this life. But I’m grateful, I’m blessed, and I’m lucky to be around this group,” said the LSU graduate.
The constant battle against haters
With success comes criticism. In Reese’s case, her detractors dismiss her rebounding records due to her inconsistency in field goals and argue that the player ends up recovering her own missed shots.
In the face of criticism, one of her fans claimed, “Angel Reese is exactly who she thinks she is. Don’t be on the wrong side of history when it’s said and done.”
With a bit of humor, the Sky forward asked her follower to rectify. “No. Tell them to stay on that side. Please.”
