Timpf will appear alongside Greg Gutfeld and Jamie Lissow in a new program.

FOX News host Kat Timpf has announced her return to television after a break to care for her newborn and to receive cancer treatment.

At 36, Timpf went on maternity leave in February after giving birth to a son and receiving a daunting breast cancer diagnosis. She will feature in Greg Gutfeld’s new show, “What Did I Miss?” which can be streamed on Fox News’ platform, Fox Nation.

In this upcoming show, Timpf will collaborate with Gutfeld to host an exciting competition featuring four contestants who have been entirely cut off from the outside world.

According to a press release for “What Did I Miss?”, from January 20 to April 13, these four contestants were in complete isolation in Upstate New York, without access to phones, the internet, television, or social media.

Now that they have emerged from isolation, the contestants will compete to determine what transpired during the first 90 days of the Trump administration.

Each contestant will face various scenarios, and it will be their task to discern fact from fiction.
Contestants will face challenges in front of a live audience for an opportunity to win $500,000.

Greg Gutfeld will serve as the primary host, with Kat Timpf and Jamie Lissow joining him on the panel.

Timpf announced her participation through a post on X, expressing her enthusiasm by quoting Gutfeld’s announcement and stating, “I’m very excited for this; I’m on the panel with my quirky little friend @jamie_lissow.”

Fox News host Kat Timpf recently addressed unfounded rumors regarding her health, which emerged from online trolls targeting her following the birth of her child.

The premiere episode is scheduled to air on May 12, with additional episodes following on May 13 and 14.

“Truth can often be stranger than fiction, and who better than Greg Gutfeld to help isolated Americans catch up on the headlines they missed during an extraordinary news cycle?” said Lauren Petterson, President of FOX Nation, in a statement.

“We are thrilled that FOX Nation subscribers will have exclusive access to the game show debut of America’s most-watched late-night host, as he guides contestants through the events that transpired while they were completely disconnected from the outside world.”

KAT’S RETURN
Timpf’s comeback comes after she shared a detailed post on X about her challenging day of giving birth and receiving a breast cancer diagnosis.

On February 25, she wrote: “Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. Just fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.”

Kat Timpf’s complete statement
An Unconventional Birth Announcement

Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. Approximately fifteen hours before I went into labor, I received a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Now, before you start to worry, my doctor has informed me that it is Stage 0 and is confident that it has almost certainly not spread. Or, as I’ve explained to the few people I’ve managed to inform so far: Don’t panic. It’s just a LITTLE bit of cancer.
Nevertheless, it was not a relaxing day, to say the least! I woke up more than a week past my due date, completely focused on doing everything possible to induce labor. By the afternoon, I was moving from appointment to appointment, discussing how to address my cancer. I listened as they explained that the most appropriate course of action would likely be a double mastectomy as soon as possible. I asked as many questions as I could, including whether I could obtain a copy of my tumor ultrasound to display on the fridge next to my baby’s ultrasound. Finally, by the middle of the night, I found myself crawling on the floor of my apartment in spontaneous labor, before heading to the hospital to meet my baby, who I would discover at birth was a son.
The positive aspect? Hospital staff are often receptive to dark humor, making it an ideal environment for me, especially since my first book explored how humor can help navigate traumatic experiences. Just moments after my son was born, I found myself discussing with the nurses what a birth announcement might look like in my unique circumstances.

Should I consider something like, “Mom and baby are doing well, aside from mom’s cancer, and perhaps the baby’s growth may be affected by her double mastectomy after breastfeeding,” and then disconnect my phone for a week?

Regardless! The upcoming three months of maternity leave will be quite different from what I had envisioned, and I am still adjusting to this new reality. As I embrace the challenges of new motherhood (and my cancer journey), I am learning to celebrate every moment. I feel fortunate that we detected the cancer early; I am grateful to be my son’s mother. Admittedly, I may be biased, but he is truly remarkable—not just because he may have played a role in saving my life.

I appreciate all your support, laughter, and love as I navigate this unexpected chapter. Here’s to resilience, to finding miracles amid chaos, and to discovering humor and hope even during the most challenging times.
