Hoops enthusiasts from LA have heard everything they wanted to hear! Even though the Lakers have been playing a great brand of basketball compared to their sluggish start to the season, LeBron James hinted that things will get better hereafter.

Tonight, the NBA returned to Los Angeles after six days, amidst the troubling South California wildfires. While the city was yet to completely recover from the disaster, King James gave them something to cheer about. The rise of the LakeShow, but there was a strong warning too.

Before the match-up against the San Antonio Spurs, James joined Gojo And Golic, discussing a variety of topics related to the Lakers.

One of them was about the upcoming trade deadline. Speaking of the LA team’s current identity, while the trade block wasn’t far enough, LBJ dropped a confident statement.

“I think our identity is 1, defensively, we want to bring physicality to the game make teams try to do something that they do not like to do, and then offensively we want to share the ball… We’re a pretty good team, sitting right now with our record,” said LeBron.

Further, he hyped it, saying, “We are not the team that I believe we’re going to be, you know, once February, March hit. But I do like our chances,” Not to forget that James addressed the team’s occasional mishaps where they completely fumbled in the second half multiple times.

Nevertheless, the bottom line- he seemed content with the existing roster and expected it to reach its peak. So, that’s the trade stance. But simultaneously, he sent a stern warning about the players’ health concerns that could hamper the postseason.

Injuries are something that harmed the Lakers over the last few seasons. Notably, in this season, two players are yet to make their debut, Jared Vanderbilt and Christian Wood.

Last season, it was Gabe Vincent, who could just play 11 games, dealing with a knee injury.

Above all, the team’s centerpiece, AD has also been a frequent visitor to the medical room, dealing with plantar fasciitis.

Amid this fragile situation, LeBron James spoke for the entire Lakers roster, all 18 of them. He had a request. It’s more like a wish.

But firstly, he said, “When it comes to the postseason, you’re not going in with a healthy roster, then you’re not giving yourself the best chance to win. We definitely want to continue to win games. We’re in wild, wild west, there’s a lot of great teams.”

Following that, the superstar expressed his wish for the rest of the season, “I hope we can be on both sides of the fences where we’re winning games and we’re healthy.”

The Lakers have two valuable, unleashed assets in their arsenal, recovering from their respective injuries.

So, if they return to the floor exactly a month before the postseason, it’s certainly a value addition for the Lakers.

Will this be the year when LeBron James clinches his 5th NBA title? Let us know in the comments below.
