It has been well over a week since Kendrick Lamar performed at the Super Bowl, and it is still garnering online attention from supporters and critics.
Lamar took the Super Bowl halftime stage with a sea of dancers wearing red, white, and blue to deliver 13-minutes of his new and old songs while having appearances from special guests.
The show at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans was full of surprises, but not everybody got the full experience.
One piece of footage came out over a week later, and it really shows what fans on one side of the stadium had to deal with during the performance.
An almost two-minute video shows that Kendrick Lamar was only facing one side of the stadium for the entirety of his performance. Not to mention, the woman speaking over the video says they could not understand anything he was saying.
She also revealed that they could not hear a thing that Samuel L. Jackson said during his appearance as well.
This means thousands of people who were inside the stadium saw the performance but did not actually see it until they watched it on television later.
The Compton rapper, fresh off his Grammy win, performed several hits like Humble, DNA, and Peekaboo.
Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance sparked mixed views online, with some people calling it the “worst halftime show ever.”
Kendrick Lamar Still Made Super Bowl History
133 million people saw Kendrick Lamar in the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show ever.
According to the NFL, 133 million people watched Lamar and SZA’s performance Sunday during the Philadelphia Eagles victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The previous year saw Usher pull in 129.3 million.
