Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show had just about everything you think of that featured the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and SZA.
This isn’t the first time Kendrick has performed at the Super Bowl, but this time around, this was his own set, and he was able to do it in a way that sent a message.
With President Donald Trump at Super Bowl LIX, Kendrick Lamar fans think the rapper took major aim at him with the stunning visuals that he displayed.
Kendrick performed the “Not Like Us” song, but many may have truly missed the clever sketches with Jackson that sent a huge message to anyone watching, especially the President.
One of Jackson’s interludes saw him telling Kendrick that ‘he’s too ghetto’ and, after changing tact for the next number, saying, “Yes! American wants slow, chill music.”
One person watching took to X and said, “Samuel L Jackson as Uncle Sam – the personification of American – telling Kendrick his performance is ‘too ghetto’.
“And then it cutting to Kendrick’s all-black backup dancers arranged as the American flag… all while That Man is in attendance?
“Kendrick, I was not familiar with your game.”
