Gisele Bündchen is settling into motherhood with her baby boy.

The model, 44, recently welcomed a baby with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente, and a source tells PEOPLE that she’s “doing well” and focusing on her family as she slowly gets back into the swing of things.

“Gisele’s doing well. She seems very happy and content,” the insider shares. “She just focused on her family and rested for the first month after the baby arrived.”

“She’s slowly taking up yoga again now. She enjoys shorter outings with her older kids and Joaquim,” they add. “Her older kids are helpful with the baby. Gisele tears up when she sees all the kids together – she still can’t believe she has a newborn. She feels very blessed.”

Gisele Bündchen Welcomed a Baby Boy, Says Source — and His Name Shares Something Special with Her Other Kids (Exclusive)

The Brazilian supermodel welcomed her baby boy with her boyfriend in February, with a source confirming the exciting news with PEOPLE. The source also noted that one part of the newborn’s name has a sweet nod to nature. Although his first name is still unknown, the insider revealed that his middle name is River.

Bündchen’s son’s moniker continues her sweet tradition of her kids having water-themed middle names. She is also mom to daughter Vivian Lake, 12, and son Benjamin Rein, 15, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady.

Bündchen has previously spoken about the challenges of parenting her children as a single mom, telling PEOPLE in September 2023 that it’d been “tough” on the family. She added in an interview with Robin Roberts in March 2024 that her children operated under different rules when they were with her versus their father, and learning how to co-parent together was a work in progress.

“I think there are easier days than others but I think it’s amazing that the kids…they’re super smart children. They know what they can get away with,” Bündchen said of co-parenting with Brady.

“So I think it’s natural that [our houses] have different rules and then kids just adapt. And they’re going to try to do what they want. And I can only control what I do. And I think for me, now is really about the balance,” she said.
